I have Bamboo (clumping variety) and disagree with the tip to plant in direct sun, they will yellow and scorch like the plant she has, that plant does not look well at all, for Bamboo! Partial shade is best, the plant should be watered well and often, should be green and succulent like a healthy lawn, not yellowed and brittle. You can place them in sun, but water them even more if you do.

Haha 3 weeks, I moved into a house with that bamboo in the back yard, every inch was covered, I moved out 10 yrs. latter and its still there. No matter what we did, burn the soil, dig it up. Don’t plant this unless you want a bamboo forest.
